Location: Pangborn Elementary
Intention: Meeting to work out logistics for our first Arete Collaboration Summit
Notes...
Opening:
- The background of the Arete Collaboration Summit was shared--the goal is to learn with and from one another.
Sharing Great Practices:
- Winter Street: Teachers are blogging about their action research and reflecting on best practices--the blogs are housed on MBC
- Salem Avenue: Teachers are taking more ownership in the professional development of colleagues; teachers have been focused on growing the student centered classroom!
- Pangborn: Teachers have collaborated on merging multiple processes into one; teachers are initiating the "unpacking process" and have a growing energy about arranging for learning.
- Lincolnshire: Teachers have collaborated on merging multiple processes into one; teachers are focusing on independence in the classroom and have been implementing best strategies to meet that vision.
- Bester: Teachers are "unpacking" with great success--they are now engaged in developing great assessments and the processes are becoming more refined!
- Fountaindale: Teachers are preparing for their own Exhibition of Learning where they will share their action research; they continue to use the peer observation model to reflect and grow.

Questions, Clarifications, Ideas and Innovations:
- How do we collect data that these processes are working?
- Can we schedule another collaboration date for those who were unable to attend to first Arete Collaboration Summit?
- How do we differentiate the PD?
- What are we looking at for accountability?
- How do we effectively collect, vet, reflect and develop "next steps"?
